VIENNA, November 21. /TASS/. Experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) working at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) have once again failed to record the party responsible for the attacks on the plant and thus have not held Ukraine accountable, Russian envoy to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said.

"The main task of IAEA experts is to record threats and provocations against the ZNPP and analyze their consequences. Unfortunately, the agency's representatives are not doing a good job. In general, this is the main problem of the report - once again it does not indicate that it is the Ukrainian side that poses threats to the security of the ZNPP," he said during a meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors.

According to the diplomat, the agency's Secretariat "has all the information it needs to draw such a conclusion, but apparently it is afraid of possible political consequences."

He pointed out that from September 23 to November 12, the Russian servicemen suppressed 556 drones near the plant and Energodar. At the same time, the Ukrainian armed forces continue to attack the infrastructure facilities of Energodar, which has already resulted in human casualties and injuries among the civilian population. As the diplomat recalled, on November 13, the Ukrainian military launched seven barrel artillery attacks on Energodar and directed a drone at a checkpoint at the entrance to the city, and on September 25, one of the Ukrainian drones detonated 60 meters from the ZNPP.

"The report mentions some of these episodes. However, the strange presentation of this information stands out. Time and again, IAEA specialists find it difficult to determine both the obvious consequences of the damage and the source of the threat. Moreover, the Ukrainian attacks are presented only with the reservation ‘alleged.’ And this is despite the fact that representatives of the Secretariat arrive at the sites of Ukrainian attacks at the first opportunity - on the same day or literally the next day," Ulyanov pointed out.
