Iraqi PM discusses situation in Middle East with Russian president

CAIRO, November 21. /TASS/. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the sides exchanged views on the current situation in the Middle East, among other things, the official wrote on his Telegram page.
"During the conversation, we discussed the situation in the Middle East region and emphasized that the superpowers must do more to stop the war and prevent its further expansion," the Iraqi prime minister wrote. Al-Sudani did not specify which superpowers were in question. According to him, Thursday's talks were held at the initiative of the Russian side.
Al-Sudani and Putin also touched on "the importance of coordination within OPEC and OPEC+ to stabilize global oil and gas markets" and "ways to strengthen bilateral relations in the interests of both states."
