Captives, Ukrainian losses: situation in Kursk Region
Over the day, the enemy lost more than 150 people, while five Ukrainian servicemen surrendered
MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Ukraine has lost more than 150 troops over the day in the Kursk direction, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Five Ukrainian servicemen surrendered.
In total, the enemy has lost more than 34,540 people since fighting began in the region.
The restoration of settlements in the region will be carried out promptly after the territories are liberated from Ukrainian troops, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said.

Operation to destroy Ukrainian formations
- Units of the battlegroup North defeated Ukrainian formations near Alexandriya, Viktorovka, Daryino, Lebedevka, Leonidovka, Malaya Loknya, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka and Sverdlikovo.
- Russian aircraft and artillery fire hit enemy manpower and equipment in the Kursk and Sumy regions.
- The operation to destroy Ukrainian formations continues.
Ukraine's losses

- Since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk Region, Kiev has lost over 34,540 men, 215 tanks, 147 infantry fighting vehicles, 120 armored personnel carriers, 1,190 armored combat vehicles, 988 vehicles, 296 artillery pieces, 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six US-made MLRS.
Restoration of settlements
- The restoration of settlements in the region will be carried out promptly after the territories are liberated from Ukrainian troops, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said.
- He added that local authorities made decisions on rent and issuance of housing certificates following a meeting with the region's residents.
Militants in legal trouble
- Military investigators have initiated a criminal case against Ukrainian militants who shelled a church in the Kursk Region, the press service of the main military investigation directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee told TASS.
- In mid-November, in the village of Ulanok in the Sudzhansky District, Ukraine fired mortars and artillery guns at and partially destroyed the Church of the Nativity of Christ.
