Ukraine launches over 30 drones at Russia’s Belgorod Region in past 24 hours

One artillery shell and four UAVs were launched at the Borisovsky district

BELGOROD, November 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces launched 35 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 24 munitions at the Belgorod Region over the past 24 hours, injuring four people, including a minor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the region’s governor, reported on his Telegram channel.

"In the Belgorod district, the settlements of Dubovoye, Politotdelsky, Oktyabrsky, Razumnoye, Vergilevka, Vesyolaya Lopan, Zhuravlyovka, Krasnaya Niva, Otradnoye, Repnoye, Rovenek, and Cheremoshnoye were attacked by 13 UAVs, seven of which were intercepted by an air defense system, and 17 munitions in 3 rounds of shelling. Over the past day, two civilians were injured," he wrote.

One artillery shell and four UAVs were launched at the Borisovsky district. A 15-year-old girl in the settlement of Striguny was injured in a drone attack. Windows in a private household were damaged. Additionally, dry grass caught fire. Emergency services and a volunteer firefighting squad extinguished it.

"In the Grayvoronsky district, 3 UAVs, one of which was shot down by an air defense system, and 4 munitions in one round of shelling were launched at the villages of Bezymeno and Rozhdestvenka. A man was wounded in the village of Bezymeno as a result of a drone attack," the regional head said.

Russian air defenses downed two UAVs in the skies over Belgorod and the Prokhorovsky district, with no casualties or damage reported. Four drones and two munitions were launched at the Valuysky, Volokonovsky, and Krasnoyaruzhsky districts. A passenger car and windows of a commercial facility were damaged in the Volokonovsky district.

According to the governor, the Shebekinsky district was attacked by 9 UAVs, with a passenger car damaged. "Yesterday, a man, who suffered barotrauma as a result of a UAV dropping an explosive device on a residential house in the settlement of Voznesenovka at night on November 19, sought treatment at the Shebekino central regional hospital. Once he is provided with medical assistance, he will continue treatment as an outpatient," he added.
