Russian forces strike ammo plant in Ukraine’s Sumy Region in drone attack
The Impulse plant is Ukraine’s sole enterprise producing explosive devices: detonation primers, electric detonators, detonating cords, cartridges and ammunition for automatic and under-barrel grenade launchers
MELITOPOL, November 20. /TASS/. Russian forces struck an ammunition plant in the Sumy Region in northeastern Ukraine by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Russia’s Civic Chamber member Vladimir Rogov said on Wednesday.
"In the town of Shostka in the Sumy Region, the Shostka-based Impulse plant was hit by UAVs. A secondary detonation began at that strategic enterprise after it [the strike] that lasted no less than two hours," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Impulse plant is Ukraine’s sole enterprise producing explosive devices: detonation primers, electric detonators, detonating cords, cartridges and ammunition for automatic and under-barrel grenade launchers. In January 2024, Russian troops struck the Impulse plant with six Kh-59 missiles.
