Russia readying for Putin’s state visit to Kazakhstan — MFA
According to the statement, under current conditions, Moscow attaches special importance to the Russian-Kazakh partnership
MOSCOW, November 19. /TASS/. Russia is making preparations for President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Kazakhstan, said Alexander Sternik, Director of the Third Department of CIS Countries at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his speech at the First Russian-Kazakh Media Forum at TASS.
"At this very moment, the department is working actively on preparations for President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Astana. It’s coming up soon," he said. "<...> Indeed, this once again highlights the priority given by the country’s leadership to the Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance."
Sternik noted that, under current conditions, Moscow attaches special importance to the Russian-Kazakh partnership. "These are not just empty words; this is the position of our leadership. And we would very much like this position to permeate all levels of government, as well as the mechanisms that influence the shaping of public opinion. We are truly responsible for preserving these very valuable relations," he emphasized.
The TASS platform is hosting a meeting of the leaders of Russian and Kazakh media on November 18-19. As decided by the participants, the event is named the First Russian-Kazakh Media Forum. Topics of the forum include the development of bilateral cooperation, challenges and prospects for traditional mass media, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence on them. In addition, the roundtable participants will address preparations for the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
