ABU DHABI, November 15. /TASS/. Participants of the Sir Bani Yas forum in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) seem to understand the causes of the Ukrainian crisis much better than they did last year, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

"One of the conditions of the forum is that we not disclose any details, but I don't think they [participants in the forum] will mind if I tell you that the answer to your question will be in the affirmative. There is much more understanding and realism," he said when asked about the participants’ assessment of the Ukrainian crisis.

Lavrov arrived in Abu Dhabi to take part in the Sir Bani Yas international peace and security forum and has already held a series of bilateral meetings.

The Sir Bani Yas is an authoritative dialogue platform for discussing current international issues. Its participants are leading politicians, analysts and experts from a wide array of countries, including from the global South.
