MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. Russian troops liberated five communities in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Kharkov Region in the week of November 9-15 in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

"Battlegroup West units liberated the settlement of Kolesnikovka in the Kharkov Region in well-coordinated operations… Battlegroup Center units continued advancing deep into the enemy’s defenses and liberated the settlements of Voznesenka, Volchenka and Stepanovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic… Battlegroup East units liberated the settlement of Rovnopol in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of decisive operations," the ministry said in a statement.

Russian troops strike Ukraine’s Sapsan missile components workshop over week

Russian forces delivered 42 strikes by precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles at Ukrainian military sites, hitting a Sapsan missile components workshop over the past week, the ministry reported.

"On November 9-15, the Russian Armed Forces delivered 42 combined strikes by precision weapons and attack unmanned aerial vehicles, hitting energy facilities providing for the operation of Ukraine’s military-industrial sector, infrastructure of military airfields, a workshop producing components for Sapsan operational/tactical missiles, assembly and storage sites of attack unmanned aerial vehicles and their parts, and also arsenals, ammunition, explosives and fuel depots," the ministry said.

The strikes also targeted training camps of troop replenishment and a logistics center of the Ukrainian army and temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian army units, nationalist formations and foreign mercenaries, it said.

Kiev loses over 15,500 troops in all frontline areas in week

The Ukrainian army lost more than 15,500 troops in battles with Russian forces in all the frontline areas over the past week, according to the latest data on the special military operation in Ukraine released by Russia’s Defense Ministry.

The latest report indicates that the Ukrainian army suffered roughly 2,760 casualties from Russia’s Battlegroup North, more than 3,435 casualties from the Battlegroup West, over 4,715 casualties from the Battlegroup South, more than 3,235 casualties from the Battlegroup Center, 960 casualties from the Battlegroup East and 465 casualties from the Battlegroup Dnepr, with total weekly losses amounting to 15,570 personnel.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicts 2,760 casualties on Ukrainian army over week

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted roughly 2,760 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed 24 enemy tanks in its area of responsibility in the Kursk area and the Kharkov Region over the past week, the ministry reported.

"During the week, Battlegroup North units continued crushing Ukrainian armed formations that had invaded the Kursk Region. Aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of an armored brigade, six mechanized brigades, three air assault brigades of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade, six territorial defense brigades and two National Guard brigades," the ministry said.

In the Kharkov direction, Russian forces inflicted losses on units of a mechanized brigade, a motorized infantry brigade and a jaeger brigade of the Ukrainian army and six territorial defense brigades, it said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week amounted to 2,760 personnel, 24 tanks, including a British-made Challenger tank and a German-made Leopard tank, 15 infantry fighting vehicles, among them two US-made Bradley and two German-made Marder IFVs, five armored personnel carriers, of which two US-made M113 APCs, 76 other armored combat vehicles, 135 motor vehicles and 30 field artillery guns, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicts over 3,435 casualties on Ukrainian army in past week

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted more than 3,435 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed seven NATO-produced artillery guns in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

During the week, Battlegroup West units "inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of six mechanized brigades, an assault brigade, an airborne brigade, an airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian army, two territorial defense brigades and a National Guard brigade. They repelled 17 counterattacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week totaled more than 3,435 personnel, three tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, 40 motor vehicles and 18 field artillery guns, including seven NATO-produced 155mm self-propelled artillery systems and howitzers, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed 11 electronic warfare stations and 22 field ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army over the week, the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup South inflicted more than 4,715 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed 10 Western-made artillery guns in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup South units gained more advantageous lines and positions and inflicted losses on formations of five mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, an infantry brigade, a mountain assault brigade, two airmobile brigades and an air assault brigade of the Ukrainian army, a territorial defense brigade and a National Guard brigade. They repulsed 17 counterattacks by Ukrainian army units," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week totaled more than 4,715 personnel, five tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, 39 motor vehicles and 27 field artillery guns, including 10 Western-made weapons, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed 15 electronic warfare and counterbattery radar stations and 22 field ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army over the week, the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup Center inflicted more than 3,235 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed five enemy tanks in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

During the past week, Battlegroup Center units "inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of seven mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, an infantry brigade, two jaeger brigades and an assault brigade of the Ukrainian army, two marine infantry brigades, a territorial defense brigade, three National Guard brigades and the Lyut assault brigade of Ukraine’s national police. They repelled 65 enemy counterattacks," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost more than 3,235 personnel, five tanks, including a German-made Leopard tank, 26 armored combat vehicles, among them a German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicle and two US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, 33 motor vehicles and 30 field artillery guns in that frontline area over the past week, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted roughly 960 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two US-made armored vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

During the past week, Battlegroup East units "inflicted casualties on formations of two mechanized brigades and a motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade, four territorial defense brigades and two National Guard brigades. They repelled 16 counterattacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost as many as 960 personnel, two tanks, 12 armored combat vehicles, including two US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, 38 motor vehicles and six field artillery guns in that frontline area over the past week, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr inflicted roughly 465 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed four enemy ammunition depots in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup Dnepr units struck manpower and equipment of three mechanized brigades, an infantry brigade and a mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian army and two territorial defense brigades," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week amounted to 465 personnel, 26 motor vehicles and nine field artillery guns, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed four field ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army over the past week, the ministry said.

Russian air defenses destroy 449 Ukrainian UAVs, 10 smart bombs over week

Russian air defense forces shot down 449 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 10 Hammer smart bombs over the past week, the ministry reported.

"Air defense capabilities shot down 10 French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs, 24 rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 449 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.

Over 40 Ukrainian soldiers surrender to Russian troops in past week

More than 40 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered to Russian troops over the past week, the ministry reported.

"During the week, 41 Ukrainian servicemen surrendered at the line of engagement," the ministry said.

Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 648 Ukrainian warplanes, 283 helicopters, 35,858 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 surface-to-air missile systems, 19,331 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,488 multiple rocket launchers, 17,950 field artillery guns and mortars and 28,411 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
