Russia is set to deepen cooperation with China in law enforcement and security, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting with Chen Wenqing, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of China’s Communist Party and the secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission.
On Wednesday morning, Shoigu and Chen held a meeting on the sidelines of the 9th round of Russian-Chinese consultations on public security, justice and law enforcement.
"The security and law enforcement agencies of our countries maintain highly intensive cooperation. And we are committed to deepening cooperation in the law enforcement and security spheres," Shoigu said.

"Our bilateral relations have been a key element of global politics and security and the main stabilizing factor in international affairs," Shoigu added.
