MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces have lost more than 300 troops in the Kursk area over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

In total, the enemy has lost more than 31,700 troops since the fighting began in the region.

Head of the Sudzhansky district Alexander Bogachev announced his retirement.

Operation to neutralize Ukrainian forces

- Russia’s Battlegroup North repelled seven enemy counterattacks towards the settlements of Daryino, Leonidovo, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novaya Sorochina and Novoivanovka.

- Units of the battlegroup continued offensive operations, defeating Ukrainian formations in the areas of the settlements of Daryino, Leonidovo, Malaya Loknya, Nikolayevo-Daryino and Novoivanovka.

- Russian tactical aircraft and artillery hit clusters of Ukrainian manpower and equipment in the Kursk Region.

- Operational/tactical aircraft and missile forces hit amassment areas and enemy reserves in the Sumy Region.

- The operation to destroy Ukrainian forces is ongoing.

Ukraine’s losses

- Over the day, the enemy lost more than 300 troops, five tanks, four infantry fighting vehicles, an armored personnel carrier, three armored combat vehicles, four artillery pieces, two mortars, a counter-battery radar, an armored repair and recovery vehicle, and eight motor vehicles.

- Since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk Region, Kiev has lost over 31,700 troops, 200 tanks, 131 infantry fighting vehicles, 110 armored personnel carriers, 1,113 armored combat vehicles, 858 motor vehicles, 269 artillery pieces and 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six MLRS of US manufacture.

Sudzhansky district head stepping down

- Head of the borderline Sudzhansky district Alexander Bogachev announced his resignation.

- A meeting between the Kursk Region’s residents and the regional authorities’ representatives was held on Tuesday.
