Russian troops secure supply route to Plekhovo in Kursk Region — commander
It is reported that fighting in the settlement itself is taking place at the moment
KURSK, November 12. /TASS/. The fighters of the Arbat Separate Special Purpose Unit have taken control of the supply road leading to the settlement of Plekhovo in the Kursk Region, the unit’s commander told TASS.
"They (the Ukrainian troops - TASS) still remain there [in Plekhovo], but due to our efforts, their logistics have been almost completely destroyed. For the past five days, there has been no equipment entering the settlement; previously, a pickup truck was bringing supplies. Now, all the provisions are being brought on foot, but you cannot carry much by hand. All the approaches to Plekhovo have been completely secured. Additionally, our guys are monitoring the crossings over the Psel River where they (the Ukrainians - TASS) may cross," the serviceman said.
He added that fighting in the settlement itself is taking place at the moment. According to the commander, Plekhovo is of great strategic value for the Ukrainian armed forces, and losing it will jeopardize the logistics in Sudzha itself. That is why the enemy tries to hold this settlement as long as it can.
According to him, recapturing Plekhovo is difficult because the entrance to the settlement is covered by a large and dense forest where the Ukrainian troops have managed to entrench themselves.
