Russia, Iran, Turkey agree to continue efforts to improve situation in Syria’s Idlib

ASTANA, November 12. /TASS/. Moscow, Tehran and Ankara have agreed to continue efforts to improve the situation in Syria’s Idlib de-escalation zone, Russia, Iran and Turkey said following the 22nd International Astana Meeting on Syria.
"We expressed serious concern about the presence and activities of terrorist groups that threaten civilians in the Idlib de-escalation zone and beyond. We agreed to continue efforts to ensure a stable improvement in the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone and around it, including the humanitarian aspect," the statement reads.
The parties also highlighted the need to maintain calm on the ground by fully implementing all the existing agreements on Idlib. "We emphasized the importance of preventing subversive activities by third parties, which could further destabilize the situation," the document adds.
