Ukrainian army to retreat near Krasnoarmeysk in coming weeks — expert

MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army will be trying hard to offer resistance to the Russian forces in the coming weeks near Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name - Pokrovsk) in the Donetsk People's Republic, but its chances to build a robust defense look bleak, Donbass’ military expert, Colonel Vitaly Kiselev, has said on the Solovyov Live TV channel.

"In all likelihood the Ukrainian army will lose the Pokrovsk area in the near future. The resistance there will be fierce, but retreat to rear fortifications in just a few weeks is imminent. The enemy will certainly roll back," Kiselev said.

He explained that on the flat terrain in this area the Ukrainian army would be unable to hold on for long and will be forced to retreat. Besides, Kiselev added, the Ukrainian army lacks personnel and hardware to retain.
