Russian forces advancing in seven directions in Avdeyevka area, expert says
According to Colonel Vitaly Kiselyov, the advance in the Avdeyevka area makes it possible for Russian forces to move towards the city of Zaporozhye
MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Russian forces are steadily advancing in seven directions in the Avdeyevka section of the frontline towards the town of Krasnoarmeisk (called Pokrovsk in Ukraine) in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Colonel Vitaly Kiselyov, a Donbass military expert, told the Soloviev Live TV channel.
"We are ramping up the intensity of fighting. Major breakthrough operations are making the enemy retreat in the Kupyansk area and the Avdeyevka area, towards Krasnoarmiesk," he noted. "The developments are unfolding quickly in the Avdeyevka area; in fact, troops are moving in seven directions, including Pokrovsk and Kurakhovo, liberating Selidovo and fighting for Toretsk, and from there, to the north," Kiselyov specified.
According to him, the advance in the Avdeyevka area makes it possible for Russian forces to move towards the city of Zaporozhye where the Ukrainian army has an important base for counterattacks towards Berdyansk, Crimea and Mariupol.
Kiselyov added that Ukrainian troops kept retreating, leaving their positions under pressure from the Russian ground forces and aircraft.
