MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian forces delivered 38 strikes by precision weapons and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), hitting Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises, army and mercenaries’ deployment sites over the past week in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

"On November 2-8, the Russian Armed Forces delivered 38 combined strikes by precision weapons and attack unmanned aerial vehicles, hitting Ukraine’s military-industrial enterprises, energy facilities used for the Ukrainian army’s supplies, military airfield infrastructure, production workshops and storage places of naval drones and attack unmanned aerial vehicles, arsenals, ammunition and fuel depots," the ministry said in a statement.

The strikes also targeted temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian army units, nationalist formations and foreign mercenaries and armor at a railway loading station, it said.

Kiev loses over 14,000 troops in all frontline areas in past week

The Ukrainian army lost more than 14,000 troops in battles with Russian forces in all the frontline areas over the past week, according to the latest report on the special military operation in Ukraine released by Russia’s Defense Ministry.

The latest data indicate that the Ukrainian army suffered over 2,020 casualties from Russia’s Battlegroup North, more than 3,160 casualties from the Battlegroup West, over 4,420 casualties from the Battlegroup South, more than 3,440 casualties from the Battlegroup Center, 820 casualties from the Battlegroup East and 470 casualties from the Battlegroup Dnepr. Therefore, the Ukrainian army lost roughly 14,330 troops in all the frontline areas over the week.

Russian forces liberated six communities in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Kharkov Region over the past week, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup West units liberated the settlement of Pershotravnevoye in the Kharkov Region in well-coordinated operations… Battlegroup South units liberated the settlement of Antonovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic in active operations… Battlegroup Center units kept advancing deep into the enemy’s defenses and liberated the settlements of Kurakhovka, Vishnyovoye and Kremennaya Balka in the Donetsk People’s Republic… Battlegroup East units liberated the settlement of Maksimovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of decisive operations," the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicts over 2,020 casualties on Ukrainian army in week

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted more than 2,020 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed nine enemy tanks in its area of responsibility in the Kursk area and the Kharkov Region over the week, the ministry reported.

"During the week, Battlegroup North units continued their operation to destroy Ukrainian armed formations in the Kursk Region. Combat aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of a tank brigade, six mechanized brigades, three air assault brigades and a special operations brigade of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade, four territorial defense brigades and a National Guard brigade," the ministry said.

In the Kharkov frontline area, Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted casualties on formations of a mechanized brigade, a motorized infantry brigade and a jaeger brigade of the Ukrainian army, three territorial defense brigades and a National Guard brigade, it specified.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Battlegroup North area of responsibility over the week amounted to more than 2,020 personnel, nine tanks, 20 infantry fighting vehicles, including six US-made Bradley IFVs, 34 other armored combat vehicles, 66 motor vehicles and 21 field artillery guns, the ministry said.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicts over 3,160 casualties on Ukrainian army in past week

Russia’s Battlegroup West repulsed 32 Ukrainian army counterattacks and inflicted more than 3,160 casualties on enemy troops in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

Battlegroup West units "inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of a tank brigade, six mechanized brigades, an assault brigade and an airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian army and four territorial defense brigades. They repulsed 32 counterattacks by Ukrainian armed formations," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week amounted to more than 3,160 personnel, three tanks, seven US-made M113 armored personnel carriers and five other armored combat vehicles, 24 motor vehicles and 23 field artillery guns, including 13 NATO-produced weapons, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed four electronic warfare stations and 19 field ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup South repelled 11 Ukrainian army counterattacks and inflicted more than 4,420 casualties on enemy troops in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

Battlegroup South units "inflicted losses on formations of seven mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, an assault brigade, two airmobile brigades, an air assault brigade and an artillery brigade of the Ukrainian army, a territorial defense brigade and a National Guard brigade. They repelled 11 counterattacks by assault units of the Ukrainian army," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week amounted to more than 4,420 personnel, four armored combat vehicles, 38 motor vehicles and 21 field artillery guns, including 12 Western-made weapons, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed 10 electronic warfare stations and eight field ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup Center inflicts over 3,440 casualties on Ukrainian army in past week

Russia’s Battlegroup Center repelled 61 Ukrainian counterattacks and inflicted more than 3,440 casualties on enemy troops in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

Battlegroup Center units "inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of six mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, a jaeger brigade, an airborne brigade of the Ukrainian army, two marine infantry brigades, five territorial defense brigades, two National Guard brigades and the Lyut assault brigade of Ukraine’s national police. They repelled 61 enemy counterattacks," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week amounted to more than 3,440 personnel, two tanks, 27 armored combat vehicles, including five US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, 31 field artillery guns and 23 motor vehicles, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted roughly 820 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed nine NATO-made artillery guns in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

Battlegroup East units "inflicted casualties on formations of two mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade and an infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade, two territorial defense brigades and a National Guard brigade," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week totaled 820 personnel, three tanks, 13 armored combat vehicles, 34 motor vehicles and nine NATO-produced 155mm self-propelled artillery systems, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr inflicts 470 casualties on Ukrainian army over week

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr inflicted roughly 470 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed six enemy ammunition depots in its area of responsibility over the past week, the ministry reported.

"Battlegroup Dnepr units inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of a mechanized brigade, an infantry brigade and a mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian army and three territorial defense brigades," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past week amounted to 470 personnel, two armored combat vehicles, 17 motor vehicles and eight field artillery guns, it specified.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed three electronic warfare stations and six field ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army over the week, it said.

Russian air defenses down Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet, 290 UAVs over week

Russian air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet, 8 US-made ATACMS missiles, 11 rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 290 unmanned aerial vehicles over the past week, the ministry reported.

"Air defense capabilities shot down a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 aircraft, eight US-made ATACMS operational/tactical missiles and 11 rockets of the US-manufactured HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, 17 French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs and 290 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.

Forty-seven Ukrainian soldiers surrender to Russian troops over week

Forty-seven Ukrainian soldiers surrendered to Russian troops over the past week, the ministry reported.

"During the week, 47 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered at the engagement line," the ministry said.

Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 648 Ukrainian warplanes, 283 helicopters, 35,409 unmanned aerial vehicles, 585 surface-to-air missile systems, 19,141 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,486 multiple rocket launchers, 17,488 field artillery guns and mortars and 28,100 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
