Lavrov says he held lengthy meeting with Kazakhstan's president

ASTANA, November 7. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who is on a working visit to Kazakhstan, has said he held a lengthy meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

"An official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan is taking place. Detailed talks have been held with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and a lengthy meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev," Lavrov told a news conference.

Lavrov noted that first of all preparations for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Astana, which will take place on November 27, on the eve of the summit of the CSTO states, were discussed.

"We stated a high degree of readiness of a number of documents, several dozen, to be precise, including statements by the leaders and sectoral, intergovernmental, interdepartmental agreements in various spheres of our alliance and strategic partnership with Kazakhstan," Lavrov said.
