MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' concern over media rumors about the DPRK’s military personnel in Russia is perceived as a manifestation of double standards, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said in a commentary.

She drew attention to the fact that manifestations of concern on the part of the UN about the escalation and internationalization of the Ukrainian crisis 10 years after its beginning look at least surprising.

"Against this background, Guterres' concern over media rumors about the DPRK’s military in Russia is perceived as a manifestation of double standards. While professing support for peace efforts and referring to the UN Charter, he forgets about the inadmissibility of a discriminatory approach to its goals and principles, which must be observed in their entirety, totality and interrelation. The secretary-general often refers to non-consensual resolutions of the UN General Assembly on Ukraine, while neglecting documents adopted by consensus, and much earlier," Zakharova noted.
