MOSCOW, September 9. /TASS/. The first-ever Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize has been awarded to the African Union.
The awarding ceremony was held at Moscow’ Bolshoi Theater on Leo Tolstoy’s birthday, a TASS correspondent reported.
The prize was handed over to African Union Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat by Jury President and Bolshoi Theater Director Valery Gergiev.
