Russia downs 38 drones over southern, central regions last night
It is reported that flights to and from Astrakhan Airport in southern Russia have been suspended following drone attacks
MOSCOW, July 9. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 38 drones over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Kursk, Rostov and Voronezh regions last night, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.
"Overnight, air defense forces on duty destroyed or intercepted three unmanned aerial vehicles [UAVs] over the Belgorod Region, seven UAVs over the Kursk Region, two UAVs over the Voronezh Region, 21 UAVs over the Rostov Region and five more over the Astrakhan Region as the Kiev regime attempted to conduct terrorist attacks on Russian soil using drones," the ministry specified.
Flights to and from Astrakhan Airport in southern Russia have been suspended following drone attacks, the airport spokesperson told TASS. Earlier, Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin said that a massive drone attack had been repelled.
