Russian troops destroy fake Ukrainian ambulance with UAV operators in Kherson area
Russian reconnaissance teams have repeatedly observed the Ukrainian military using ambulances and other civilian vehicles for transporting troops and armaments to combat areas, Vladimir Saldo said
GENICHESK, April 16. /TASS/. Russian troops destroyed a fake Ukrainian ambulance transporting a mortar team and a group of FPV drone operators on the right bank of the Dnieper River, Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo said on Tuesday.
"Our air reconnaissance uncovered a Ukrainian ambulance vehicle on the right bank of the Dnieper River transporting a mortar team with armament and a group of FPV drone operators. After the coordinates were transmitted, the fake ambulance was destroyed by artillery fire together with the cargo and the crew," the governor said on his Telegram channel.
Russian reconnaissance teams have repeatedly observed the Ukrainian military using ambulances and other civilian vehicles for transporting troops and armaments to combat areas, Saldo said.
"Ukrainian militants on the right bank of the Dnieper River wear civilian clothes over or instead of camouflage uniforms disguising themselves as local residents. Both things are a war crime that add to the Kiev regime’s evildoings and criminal cases in Russia’s Investigative Committee," the governor said.
Defense circles in the Kherson Region told TASS earlier that the Ukrainian army was using ambulances to bring mortars and ammunition to its positions on the right bank of the Dnieper River.
