MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Russia’s presidential special envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov at a meeting with the Chief of Staff of the Algerian National People's Army Said Chengriha confirmed that Russia would contribute to strengthening Algeria’s defense capabilities.
"During the conversation they discussed topical issues of further steady development of Russian-Algerian friendly relations in the spirit of the Declaration on Deepening Strategic Partnership signed in June 2023 in Moscow," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a news release. "At the same time, the Russian side confirmed its readiness to continue to provide the necessary assistance to Algeria in strengthening its defense capabilities."
The meeting took place within the framework of Bogdanov's working trip to Algeria.
