Russian, Algerian financial intelligence representatives to talk shop in Moscow
Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov recalled that the competent authorities of the two countries are working on the issue of resuming the work of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Algeria
ALGERIA, April 15. /TASS/. Financial intelligence officers of Algeria have been invited to visit Moscow in 2024 to exchange best practices at the training and methodological center of the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring, Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov said.
Krasnov is on a working visit to Algeria, where he met with that country's Justice Minister Abderrachid Tabbi.
"At my request, the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring will share the practice of undergoing FATF monitoring procedures with Algerian colleagues. Representatives of Algeria's financial intelligence unit have been invited to Moscow to exchange experience on the premises of the international training and methodological center for financial monitoring in Moscow," Krasnov said.
He also recalled that the competent authorities of the two countries are working on the issue of resuming the work of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Algeria. According to Krasnov, this issue is important for further rapprochement of the legal systems of the two states, the possibility of training Algerian citizens in Russian universities, including the University of Prosecutor's Office.
Following the meeting, Krasnov invited Tabbi to take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June.
