Russian Deputy PM orders to develop criteria for investors to build motorway
Yury Trutnev reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to complete construction of this road
MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev ordered to define criteria for investors that will decide to take part in the building the Vladivostok - Nakhodka - Vostochny Port motorway, the press service of the Plenipotentiary’s office informed.
"In conclusion of the meeting on the issue of building the Vladivostok - Nakhodka - Vostochny Port motorway in the Primorsky Region, <...> [Yury] Trutnev asked the Ministry of Finance of Russia and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia to elaborate criteria of a competitive selection of private investors for participation in construction of the motorway under concessionary agreement conditions," the press service informed.
Trutnev reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to complete construction of this road. "The road is important. It provides for transport accessibility of Nakhodka and this is one of transport infrastructure strings critically needed in the Far East and for development of the country on the whole," the official said.
Proposals to involve private investments in construction were discussed at the meeting. "The model of bringing private investors into the project must be transparent, clear and honest. It should be done in interests of the Russian state," the deputy prime minister added.
The 146-km long Vladivostok - Nakhodka - Vostochny Port road is the key infrastructural facilities of the Primorye-1 international transport corridor. The route will link three large Russian ports and southern areas of the Primorsky Region.
