Putin discusses EAEU development with Russian Security Council

Members of the Security Council get together on a regular basis for operational meetings, approximately once a week, but they are usually held via video link

MOSCOW, April 11./TASS/. The permanent members of the Russian Security Council have discussed the development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

"We will discuss today the development of the EAUE. We have a lot of issues, they are a matter of our constant attention, kept in sight," Putin said in the opening remarks at the in-person meeting with the Security Council.

Members of the Security Council get together on a regular basis for operational meetings, approximately once a week, but they are usually held via video link. The most recent in-person meeting of the Security Council was on November 25, 2022. Back then, it discussed the results of the activity of the Russian delegations to the G20 and APEC summits, as well as the results of a meeting between Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergey Naryshkin and the head of the CIA.
