Lukashenko arrives in Moscow on working visit
Alexander Lukashenko's office previously said he would hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 11, and the following day they would take part in events on the occasion of Cosmonautics Day
MINSK, April 11. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has arrived in Moscow on a working visit, the BelTA news agency reported.
He is accompanied by the first-ever Belarusian female cosmonaut, Marina Vasilevskaya, who was awarded the title of Hero of Belarus earlier on Thursday, according to the report.
Lukashenko's office previously said he would hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 11, and the following day they would take part in events on the occasion of Cosmonautics Day. It said the leaders, when they hold talks will discuss issues "requiring contemplation at the highest level," regional and international situation, and coordination of actions to respond to challenges and threats.
The Kremlin said that on April 11 the heads of state will also discuss the implementation of decisions that were made at the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus.
