According to the Russian foreign minister, issues brought for discussion by the two countries’ leaders will be considered at the meeting

BEIJING, April 9. /TASS/. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said he would attend a BRICS Foreign Ministers’ meeting to be hosted by Nizhny Novgorod in June, Russia’s top diplomat, Sergey Lavrov, announced at a news conference.

"Nizhny Novgorod will host a meeting of the [BRICS] Council of Foreign Ministers in June, and Mr. Wang Yi said that he would attend," Lavrov said.

According to the Russian foreign minister, issues brought for discussion by the two countries’ leaders will be considered at the meeting.

Also, he described as very good prospects for harmonizing agendas of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS programs.
