Funding for subsidized IT mortgage loans to be increased by $2.2 bln — Russian PM

The total limit of funding within the program framework was increased thereby from 500 bln rubles ($5.4 bln) to 700 bln rubles ($7.6 bln)

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. The Russian government will increase the amount of funds provided for subsidized IT mortgage loans by 200 bln rubles ($2.2 bln), Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the Cabinet meeting.

"The government will increase limits for the IT mortgage loans by 200 bln rubles. The relevant decree was prepared. Owing to that at least 15,000 information technology professionals more will be able to formalize loans for purchase of a house, an apartment or a land plot for construction at a preferential rate," he said.

The total limit of funding within the program framework was increased thereby from 500 bln rubles ($5.4 bln) to 700 bln rubles ($7.6 bln).

The government launched the mortgage program for the staff of accredited IT companies in 2022.
