DONETSK, April 5. /TASS/. The Ukrainian combat group near Avdeyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) risks being cut into two parts, adviser to the DPR head Igor Kimakovsky told TASS on Friday.

"Now the developments near Avdeyevka indicate that the Ukrainian army grouping in that frontline area has all the chances of being cut into two parts, which will simplify the operation of our assault groups," the adviser said.

Kimakovsky told TASS earlier that the Ukrainian military had withdrawn some troops from the settlements of Berdychi and Semyonovka near Avdeyevka due to the threat of encirclement. He did not rule out that the Ukrainian army could deploy its withdrawn units to other frontline areas in the Avdeyevka direction.
