Lavrov invites West to announce when it is ready to move away from Zelensky 'formula'
In November 2022, speaking to participants at the G20 summit via video link, Zelensky put forward a so-called 10-point peace plan that did not take into account Moscow’s position
MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. When the West is finally ready to let go of the "peace formula" outlined by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, let it say so itself, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters.
"If someone is smart enough to move away from this dead-end course of Zelensky’s 'formula,' then let them say so. It’s not up to us," he said.
In November 2022, speaking to participants at the G20 summit via video link, Zelensky put forward a so-called 10-point peace plan that did not take into account Moscow’s position.
In particular, under this plan Russia withdraws its armed forces to the 1991 borders, while Ukraine regains control in the "exclusive economic zone" in the Azov and Black Seas. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov subsequently noted that Kiev’s statements about a peaceful settlement are made without taking into account existing realities; Moscow does not see progress in the peace process around Ukraine and therefore will continue its special military operation.
