Lavrov exposes West’s covert efforts to 'lure' countries to peace conference on Ukraine
The top Russian diplomat drew attention to the statements of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba that the "peace formula" is like a menu, as countries can pick and choose what they want to work on
MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The West is scheming to get as many countries as possible to come to a peace conference on Ukraine in Switzerland, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters.
"At the request of Ukraine, they are convening a peace conference, which is conceived in two parts. In the first part of this peace conference, which the Swiss, as they stated, want to organize before the summer, it is planned to finally agree on all the proposals that must be accepted to establish peace, as they say. They are luring us to this event, and the goal is to gather 140 delegations. They are luring us to this event in a gross and fraudulent manner," Lavrov said.
Lavrov drew attention to the statements of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba that the "peace formula" is like a menu, as countries can pick and choose what they want to work on. "This menu method is used to lure as many countries as possible. <...> In essence, this is recognition that the peace formula is an ultimatum," the Russian top diplomat stressed.
