South Korea’s sanctions against Russians provoke deep regret — Russian Foreign Ministry
Maria Zakharova stressed that introduction of illegitimate sanctions would have a negative consequence for relations with Russia
MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Introduction of illegitimate sanctions by Seoul against Russian ships, entities and individuals is an unfriendly step and provokes deep regret, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.
"The government of the Republic of Korea announced the decision to introduce since April 3 unilateral sanctions against two Russian ships allegedly carrying military good between Russia and North Korea and two organizations, and two individuals charged with involvement of North Korean workforce recruitment to our country. This is an unfriendly step of Seoul; it causes deep regret," Zakharova said.
"Introduction of illegitimate, I would like to stress that, sanctions will have a negative consequence for relations with Russia," the diplomat added.
