MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. The detention of a ship in the German port of Rostock has nothing to do with Rosatom's cargo, the Russian corporation told TASS.
Earlier, the DPA news agency reported a Marshall Islands-flagged ship was detained in Rostock after arriving from Russia due to EU-sanctioned goods onboard. According to the report, the ship was bound for the US and was loaded with, among other things, enriched uranium for US nuclear power plants.
"We are aware of the ongoing investigation into the vessel that was detained in the port of Rostock, but this incident is not related to Rosatom's cargo - enriched uranium products. Any additional comments on the situation are premature," Rosatom told TASS.
