Ukrainian armed forces hit north of Donetsk with rocket strike — JCCC
According to the report, the shelling damaged the building of the district administration, nine apartment buildings and private houses
DONETSK, April 2. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army struck the Kievsky district of Donetsk on Tuesday night with Slovakian-made JROF-HEAP missiles, the republic's representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) of issues related to Ukraine's war crimes reported.
This is the first time this year that the enemy has used such missiles to shell the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
"The enemy conducted the rocket strike from their positions located near the town of Krasnogorovka, using JROF-HEAP (1,050 diamond-shaped fragmentation) rockets for MLRS of 122 mm caliber, produced in Slovakia and transferred to Ukraine by NATO countries," the report says.
It noted that the shelling damaged the building of the district administration, nine apartment buildings and private houses. According to the JCCC Telegram channel, the last time the Ukrainian armed forces used this type of missile was during another attack on the republic in September 2023.
Earlier, the head of the urban district of Donetsk Alexey Kulemzin reported that one civilian had been wounded as a result of this shelling. The strike was carried out on April 1 at 10:45 p.m. Moscow time (7:45 p.m. GMT). In total, the enemy fired seven rockets.
