Seven Russian border area residents killed, over 40 injured in week’s shelling by Ukraine
Rodion Miroshnik noted that the Ukrainian armed forces fired at least 1,820 rounds on civilian infrastructure over the past week
MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Seven residents of frontline population centers were killed and over 40 injured over the past week due to shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for the crimes of the Kiev regime, reported.
"During the past week at least 50 civilians were killed in the Nazis’ shelling, and 43 were injured, including five minors. Seven people were killed, including a child," he said on his Telegram channel.
Miroshnik added that the Ukrainian armed forces fired at least 1,820 rounds on civilian infrastructure over the past week. He noted that the number of attacks had decreased compared to the week of March 11-17. According to him, this "confirms that the activization of attacks on civilian infrastructure was tied to attempts to undermine the [Russian presidential] election and the process of [voting and] tabulating [election] results in the frontline zone." "Despite active shelling of the Belgorod Region, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) remains the most vulnerable zone in terms of the number of shells fired," he said, adding that the village of Gorlovka has come under attack the most of any population center.
On March 26, Miroshnik reported that 25 residents of frontline communities were killed in the Ukrainian armed forces’ shelling over the week, with another 89 injured.
