Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia congratulates Pope Francis on Easter
He wished them "good heath, spiritual vigor and Easter joy, God’s help and success" in their service
MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill has congratulated heads of foreign churches, including Pope Francis on Catholic Easter.
"Christ has risen! On these festive days, believers magnify the Lord who rose from the dead and came to Earth "not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45). By his voluntary Sufferings and Resurrection, Christ gives each one of us the greatest example of self-sacrificing love. Praising our Savior, who broke the bonds od sin and death, we are called to bring the light of Bible into the world and do our best to defend lofty moral ideals," the Patriarch said in his congratulatory message released by the Moscow Patriarchate’s Foreign Church Ties Department.
The Patriarch wished them "good heath, spiritual vigor and Easter joy, God’s help and success" in their service.
