Temporary accommodation centers house over 32,000 evacuees from Donbass

MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Temporary accommodation centers have taken in 32,000 evacuees from Donbass and Novorossiya since February 2022, Oleg Manuylo, head of civil defense at the Russian Emergencies Ministry, said.
"As of today, there are 950 temporary accommodation centers in 65 Russian regions, where over 32,000 people are staying, including 8,500 children. You see, we established these facilities as temporary centers but they have become permanent over the past two years," he noted.
Evacuees residing in temporary accommodation centers have access to health care, with each one of them having requested medical assistance four to five times over their stay . Every evacuee has also asked for psychological assistance at least once.
All children staying at temporary accommodation centers have the opportunity to attend kindergartens and schools. "Besides, 370 athletes and coaches are currently training in Russia in their respective sports," Manuilo added.
