Giatsint-B howitzers wipe out Ukrainian mortars in Kursk Region border area
Russian artillery teams get target acquisition and adjust fire using the Battlegroup’s unmanned aerial vehicles, which helps transmit target engagement data to firing positions in real time
MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. Giatsint-B howitzer crews from Russia’s Battlegroup West destroyed Ukrainian mortars on Ukraine’s territory bordering the Kursk Region, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.
"Teams of 152mm Giatsint-B towed howitzers from the Battlegroup West keep striking the positions of Ukrainian terrorist formations in the area on Ukrainian territory bordering the Kursk Region. The video shows Giatsint-B towed howitzer teams wiping out enemy mortar crews entrenched in a forest belt area," the ministry said in a statement.
Russian artillery teams get target acquisition and adjust fire using the Battlegroup’s unmanned aerial vehicles, which helps transmit target engagement data to firing positions in real time. UAV operators track the movements of Ukrainian army units round-the-clock and immediately transmit target data to deliver strikes, it said.
"We can hammer enemy manpower, accomplish objectives in counter-battery warfare and destroy adversary equipment and ammunition depots. Today we delivered strikes against enemy personnel. They tried to get close to our border but were detected and destroyed by our forces," the ministry quoted gun commander Kirill as saying.
