Russia dispatches another flight with humanitarian aid for Gaza
The bulk of these supplies has been collected at the initiative of the government of the Karachay-Circassia Republic
MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. The Russian Emergencies Ministry has dispatched an Il-76 flight carrying humanitarian aid for people in the Gaza Strip, the ministry told TASS.
"An Il-76 aircraft has departed for El Arish airport in Egypt. The aid contains cereals, flour, sugar and other long storage foods as well as personal hygiene items weighing a total of 29 metric tons," the ministry specified.
The bulk of these supplies has been collected at the initiative of the government of Karachay-Circassia.
In Egypt, the aid will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society before being delivered to the Gaza Strip.
In all, Russia has sent 20 flights with over 480 metric tons of food, medication, clothing and other essentials since the start of its humanitarian mission.
