Blasts heard near military installations in Ukraine's Nikolayev Region — source

Air alert was not activated

TASS, March 22. Two powerful explosions were heard near military posts in the village of Bugskoye in Ukraine’s Nikolayev Region, spokesman for pro-Russian activists in the city Sergey Lebedev told TASS.

According to him, the village was home to two military installations, with equipment and possibly Western mercenaries gathering at a nearby airfield.

"Two powerful explosions [erupted] near military posts in the village of Bugskoye at 11:33 a.m. and 11:47 a.m. [8:33 a.m. and 8:47 a.m. GMT]. There was no air alert. In general, these are Soviet installations. The Ukrainian army has deployed territorial defense units there, as well as a lot of equipment. The Martynovsky airfield is close by; it is often visited by foreigners," Lebedev said.
