Putin thanks all Russians who voted in presidential election

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked all those who voted in the presidential election, regardless of who they cast their ballots for.
"Once again, I thank everyone who took part in the voting, regardless of who you gave your vote to," Putin said in a televised address. "The main thing is that you have proved that you respect your civic duty, value freedom of choice and your vote, and I repeat, each of your votes was of great importance," he emphasized.
The president stated that the official results of the presidential election voting have been summarized. "The election campaign, which is extremely important for our country, society and citizens, has come to an end," he said.
The campaign was tense and had a lot riding on it, "because, generally speaking, we were choosing the path Russia will follow going forward, choosing the future for ourselves and our children," Putin stressed. He added that the absolute majority of voters who went to the polls realized the significance of this event.
