Russian Emergencies Ministry delivers nearly 29 tons of aid to Egypt for Gaza residents

The cargo included bedding, personal hygiene items, and food

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The Russian Emergencies Ministry has delivered humanitarian aid to Egypt intended for the civilian population of the Gaza Strip, the ministry’s press service told TASS.

"An Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered humanitarian aid to El Arish airport. The Russian aid will be handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who will deliver it to the Gaza Strip," the press service said.

Earlier, the Russian Emergencies Ministry press service reported that an aircraft with humanitarian aid had departed for Egypt. The cargo included bedding, personal hygiene items, and food with a total weight of around 29 tons. The collection of this batch of humanitarian aid was initiated by the government of the Russian Republic of Ingushetia in the North Caucasus.

Since the start of the humanitarian mission, the Emergencies Ministry has delivered over 450 tons of food, medicine, clothing and other essential items through 19 flights.
