BELGRADE, March 21. /TASS/. Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will visit a football friendly between the teams of Russia and Serbia to be held at Moscow’s VTB Arena stadium on March 21, the Serbian Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
"First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will visit Moscow on an invitation from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on March 21, 2024. He will attend a football friendly between the teams of Russia and Serbia," the statement says.
Moreover, the Serbian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Dacic will meet with Lavrov. He will also meet with Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin "in his capacity as a co-chair of the of the Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation."
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s official spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, announced that Lavrov would meet with Dacic on March 21. Their previous meeting took place in early March, on the sidelines of a diplomatic forum in Antalya.
The Russia-Serbia football friendly will be held at Moscow’s VTB Arena stadium on March 21. The game will begin at 8:00 p.m. Moscow time [5:00 p.m. GMT]. The Russian Football Union’s press service told TASS on March 12 that the event is expected to be sold out.
