Sanctions unable to hinder Russian-Indian relations — Russian Ambassador
The supply of Russian crude oil to India is the most obvious example, Denis Alipov noted
NEW DELHI, March 20. /TASS/. Sanctions introduced by the West will not affect economic cooperation between Russia and India going forward, Russian Ambassador in New Delhi Denis Alipov said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel.
"Countries unfriendly to us are perfecting and expanding these restrictions constantly. Certainly, they leak into our relations with India. Nevertheless, we are finding options and ways of continuing our cooperation in interaction with the Indians. I believe it is impossible to prevent this, no matter what they do," the Ambassador said.
The supply of Russian crude oil to India is the most obvious example, the Russian diplomat noted.
"Europe considered limiting cooperation with Russia in this sphere to be the most beneficial for thing for it, and now sees its economic downturn as the result. They essentially have to buy the same Russian oil but in processed form already in India, and at completely different prices," Alipov added.
