Russian business mulling entering Equatorial Guinea’s market — envoy
The republic has huge potential not only in the area of hydrocarbons, but also in the mining, tourist, consumer sectors, Russian Ambassador to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea Georgy Todua said
NAIROBI, March 19. /TASS/. Russian business is exploring the possibilities to enter the market of Equatorial Guinea in the areas of hydrocarbons and mining, as well as the consumer sector, Russian Ambassador to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea Georgy Todua said in an interview with TASS.
"We intend to address the strengthening of trade, economic and investment cooperation. The republic has huge potential not only in the area of hydrocarbons, but also in the mining, tourist, consumer sectors. Business is already exploring the possibility to enter the Equatorial Guinean market, and our task is to help entrepreneurs of the two countries to establish contacts," he said.
Moreover, a group of four Russian diplomats and specialists is in Equatorial Guinea to address resumption of the work of Russia's diplomatic mission in the near future, the diplomat added.
"We are working on the opening of Russia’s embassy in Malabo in the near future. A forward group consisting of four people, including two diplomats, is already in Equatorial Guinea for solving administrative-technical and organizational issues related to resumption of the work of the Russian diplomatic mission," he said.
