US shows no restraint in weapons supplies to Kiev — Russian envoy
"I have repeatedly raised this issue both in the White House and in the Department of the State," Anatoly Antonov noted
WASHINGTON, March 18. /TASS/. The US is showing no restraint in supplying military equipment and weapons to Ukraine, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov told TASS when commenting on recent attempts by the Ukrainian armed forces to infiltrate the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk Regions with the help of American military equipment.
"Previously the Americans very cautiously supplied small arms [to Kiev], and we had a feeling that they were testing certain red lines, whether we would put up with such supplies or not, whereas today there is no talk about anything like that," he said. "The issue is about supplies of long-range systems that attack Russian cities, on peaceful squares, where there is no military equipment, but [where there are] civilians. So now the Americans have virtually no restrictions," he said.
"I have repeatedly raised this issue both in the White House and in the Department of the State," the diplomat noted.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported earlier that from March 12 to 15, in the Kupyansk direction all attempts of Ukrainian forces to cross into the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk regions were stopped. Air strikes and artillery fire destroyed more than 550 servicemen, 16 tanks, 19 armored fighting vehicles, including 11 US-made Bradley vehicles.
