MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia Nikolay Bulayev reported five vandalism incidents involving pouring liquids into ballot boxes. In addition, at least one ballot processing machine was vandalized with paint.
"Unfortunately, we have about five incidents involving ballots being spoiled inside ballot boxes; they pour liquids inside, and, in two regions, the opposition committed even harsher things. […] We have one case of vandalism against a ballot processing machine, they vandalize it with paint," Bulayev noted.
In this regard, he noted, the "watch near ballot boxes and ballot processing machines must be proper."
"It is necessary to watch not from far away, but in direct proximity, without violating, of course, the right for the secrecy of the vote. The situation requires us to be more focused than ever," Bulayev added.
