Ukrainian shelling of Belgorod Region leaves one dead, two injured
MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. One person was killed and two others were injured in the Belgorod Region as a result of a shelling by the Ukrainian military, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has said on his Telegram channel.
"According to preliminary data, one civilian was killed. Also, according to the disaster medicine service, there were two injured in the city," he wrote.
The killed man was at his workplace in a shop when the shelling began. He suffered multiple shrapnel wounds to the chest and abdomen. The ambulance crew did their utmost trying to save the man’s life, but he died of wounds on the spot.
"One [injured] man was driving a manipulator truck along a highway. He has a penetrating head injury. The other wounded man was on the premises of an industrial enterprise. He suffered shrapnel wounds to his right eye. Ambulances took both to the regional clinical hospital. All necessary medical care is being provided," Gladkov said. In the Belgorodsky district two households, one outbuilding and four cars were damaged.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 10 Vampire MLRS shells around 1:00 p.m. Moscow time (10:00 a.m. GMT).
