NOVO-OGAREVO, March 14. /TASS/. Russia's GDP growth in annual terms amounted to 4.6% in January, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
"Economy’s, GDP’s growth in January reached 4.6%. Last year we had 3.6%, overall, which is a very reasonable, nice figure. This January - 4.6% and it is also clear that this is only the beginning of the year," he said.
Meanwhile, according to Putin, inflation in Russia dropped to zero. "The price growth is declining; inflation is stabilizing. It was 0.7% in February. Inflation dropped to zero overall during the first two weeks of this month," the President said.
These are the weekly measured data, Putin stressed. "All that is very approximate, very volatile, but nevertheless it is so," the head of state added.
