MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. As of today, about 2 mln Russian citizens have already voted early in Russia’s presidential election, Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova said during a meeting at the CEC Information Center.
Early voting has been available since February 25 in 42 Russian regions.
"As of today, a total of around 2 mln voters have cast their ballots early. It is quite interesting that early voting is being held for one day only in the Jewish Autonomous Region [in the Russian Far East], and this day is today, so it is the last day of the early voting period, while the main [three-day voting period] will kick off tomorrow," Pamfilova said.
