One civilian killed, three more injured in Ukrainian attack on Belgorod Region — governor
Ambulances have been dispatched to the site of the incident
MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. A civilian was killed and three others were injured in a Ukrainian attack on Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Russia’s borderline region of Belgorod, said, adding that Russian air defense forces downed eight aerial targets near the city.
The Russian Defense Ministry, too, reported that eight enemy rockets had been downed.
"Our air defenses downed eight aerial targets in the skies above Belgorod and the Belgorod District. <…> According to preliminary information, the driver of a passenger car was killed in the attack. Also, two injured women and a man sought emergency medical assistance," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.
Ambulances have been dispatched to the site of the incident. Two private homes as well as the roof and two upper floors of a health facility were damaged. "A passenger car was also damaged. Emergency services are working at the scene," Gladkov added.
